Research
The research interests of our group include: processing-structure-property relationship of halide perovskite semiconductors, integration of soft-lattice semiconductor heterostructures, and metamaterials from nano materials.
1. We focus on studying the structure-property relationship of halide perovskite semiconductors, aiming to develop synthetic methodologies for producing highly stable halide perovskite crystals with tunable band structures and controlled defect concentrations. Additionally, we are pursing to construct halide perovskite homostructures, heterostructures, superlattices, and quantum wells to advance next-generation electronic and light-emitting devices.
2. We are interested in developing new tools and technologies to manipulate materials with feature size of 1~10 nm in high precision. For example, manipulation of 1D carbon nanotubes (metallic or semiconducting), boron nitride tubes (insulating) and transition metal dichalcogenides (metallic or semiconducting) will be implemented to form 2D and 3D complex structures with certain functionalities, such as circuits, sensors etc.
